Freddy Galvis Picks Up Four Hits in Loss
6 years agoToronto Blue Jays shortstop Freddy Galvis continued his torrid pace in the early portion of the season with four hits in a 7-6 loss on Thursday to the Red Sox. The hard-swinging shortstop tied the game on a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning. Galvis has been one of the lone bright spots for Toronto's offense so far this season with four home runs, nine RBI and a .395 average. Don't be surprised if this hitting pace slows down in the near future, as Galvis' career average is a much-lower .248. The Blue Jays will welcome this outstanding start to the season for Galvis while they wait for the rest of their lineup to regain their form.
