Freddie Freeman Closes The Year With .300 Batting Average
3 years agoAtlanta Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman was removed in the fifth inning of Sunday's game against the New York Mets. He's getting some extra rest before the postseason begins this upcoming week. He went 1-for-3 with a run scored in the game before being removed. Freeman had another fantastic year in 2021. Over 159 games, he slashed .300/.393/.503 with 31 home runs, eight stolen bases, 83 RBI and a career-high 120 runs. He's unlikely to repeat as NL MVP this year, but he certainly still remains one of the game's best all-around hitters.
