Franmil Reyes Pops Homer In Second Straight Game
6 years agoSan Diego Padres outfielder Franmil Reyes hit his second homer in as many days Sunday against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Entering the game with a 1.075 OPS against lefties, Reyes took Dodgers southpaw Hyun-Jin Ryu deep in his first at-bat. The long ball was his 11th in just 171 plate appearances this season. With Wil Myers sliding to third base, Reyes has made the most of playing regularly, hitting .400 (6-for-15) with three extra-base hits in his last six games. The hulking slugger is still a raw talent (34 percent strikeout rate) and likely too risky for season-long fantasy leagues, but he’s definitely a DFS candidate, especially against left-handed pitching.
