Franklin Barreto Will Make Wild-Card Roster
Franklin Barreto will make the wild-card roster for Wednesday's game against the Rays, according to a source. Barreto will be an option off the bench as a pinch-runner like he was in last year's wild-card game. The 23-year-old Venezuelan had just 57 at-bats with the A's this year and hit .138/.263/.401 with two homers, six runs and five stolen bases. He did steal one base as well. Barreto is unlikely to get any starts in the postseason if the A's advance past Tampa Bay, and if he does, he won't be much of a DFS option.
