Frankie Montas Hasn't Resumed Throwing
2 years agoNew York Yankees pitcher Frankie Montas (shoulder) has yet to resume a throwing program. According to manager Aaron Boone, Montas probably won't be built up beyond 40 pitches by the first of the playoffs. The 29-year-old was placed on the 15-day injured list on Tuesday due to shoulder inflammation. He hasn't resumed throwing and likely won't return during the regular season. Montas owns a 5-12 record, a 4.05 ERA, 1.25 WHIP, and a 142:43 K: BB across 144 innings in 2022. Fantasy managers in redraft leagues can move on from Montas as he most likely won't return to the Yankees' rotation before the season ends.
