2 years agoChicago Cubs infielder Frank Schwindel was released from the team. He was waived on Saturday and subsequently released on Sunday, which makes him a free agent. The 30-year-old infielder put together a .229/.277/.358 triple slash line to go along with eight home runs and 36 RBI over 271 at-bats with the Cubs this season.
