Frank Gore To Retire With 49ers
3 years agoRunning back Frank Gore said that he will be signing a one-day contract in order to retire as a member of the San Francisco 49ers. Gore finishes his career with the third-most rushing yards in NFL history with 16,000, which will one day get him into the Hall of Fame. The 38-year-old was originally a third-round pick by the Niners in 2005 out of the University of Miami. The five-time Pro Bowler spent the first 10 years of his career in San Francisco before playing for the Indianapolis Colts, Miami Dolphins, Buffalo Bills and New York Jets to close out his illustrious career. In 241 career games, Gore finished with 81 rushing touchdowns on 3,735 carries while also adding 484 receptions on 697 targets for 3,985 yards and 18 more touchdowns.
