Frank Gore Is A Low-End RB2 For Week 9
5 years agoBuffalo Bills running back Frank Gore struggled in Week 8 against the Eagles, gaining just 34 rushing yards on nine carries. There are some concerns for Gore going forward, but for now, he remains the team's No. 1 back and the Bills have an extremely favorable matchup this week against the Redskins, who are allowing the fifth-most rushing yards per game in the league. The Bills' No. 2 back Devin Singletary saw three carries as well as six targets in the passing game in Week 8. He's clearly the more versatile back as Gore only has eight targets over seven games on the year. Singletary has just 20 carries through the four games he's played this year, but is averaging 8.6 yards per carry, compared to Gore's 4.4. While Gore should get more carries in Week 9, Singletary might start taking more work from the veteran going forward. Expect Gore to see about 10 to 12 carries in Week 9, giving him the chance to go for around 60 yards with a scoring opportunity.
