Frank Gore Not An Appealing Option In Week 2
5 years agoBuffalo Bills running back Frank Gore had a dreadful opening week to the season, but he still saw a heavy workload and that might not change in Week 2. Gore had 11 carries in Week 1 and was only able to muster 20 yards on the day. Bills head coach Sean McDermott has been insistent all week that Gore will remain the team's starter going forward, despite the impressive showing from rookie Devin Singletary in Week 1. While Singletary might wrestle away the bulk of the carries from Gore sooner rather than later, Gore should still be a safe bet for double-digit touches in Week 2. With a weak Giants Defense facing him in Week 2, he could easily turn that workload into around 60 yards and a score. He isn't the most exciting option, but in a deep league, if there's no one else available, he can be a flex play.
