Francisco Mejia Drives In Career-High Five Runs
3 years agoTampa Bay Rays catcher Francisco Mejia went 2-for-4 with a triple, a home run, two runs scored, and five RBI in Tuesday's 9-3 win over the Orioles. He belted a two-run shot off Orioles pitcher John Means in the fourth frame and later smacked a three-run triple off Shaun Anderson in the eighth inning. The former Padre drove in a career-high five runs and hit his first long ball since May 23. The 25-year-old is starting to heat up and has collected a hit in three straight games. Mejia continues to see an uptick in playing time while starting catcher Mike Zunino is dealing with hip tightness. Fantasy managers should look to add Mejia as a streamer or in two-catcher formats while he sees close to everyday at-bats.
