3 years agoNew York Mets shortstop Francisco Lindor (oblique) has been progressing in his rehabilitation lately. He has been sidelined since mid-July with a Grade 2 oblique strain. He has been taking ground balls and also hitting off of a tee. He is expected to start hitting off the machine at some point this week. He still remains without a timetable for his return. Lindor got off to a slow start to the year, but he started to come around in June and he was rolling in July before the injury. Over 12 games in July, he slashed .333/.489/.500 with two home runs, two stolen bases, 10 RBI and nine runs. He also had 10 walks to only seven strikeouts over that stretch.
