Four Homers Lead Pittsburgh Pirates Past Reds Sunday
6 years agoThe Pittsburgh Pirates continued their offensive dominance in Cincinnati on Sunday with four homers. Outfielder Gregory Polanco smashed a two-run homer in the first inning off Matt Harvey to give the Pirates the early lead. Outfielder Corey Dickerson extended his homer streak to four games in a row with a bomb in the second. He went 4-for-5 with three runs and two RBI. The next batter, outfielder Starling Marte, continued his 15-game hit streak with a blast as well. Sean Rodriguez would add a solo homer to center field in the fourth inning. The Pirates would win the game 9-2, and stretch their win streak to nine games. They will head to Cleveland for a series against the Indians Monday.
