2 years agoLas Vegas Raiders tight end Foster Moreau caught three of his four targets for 43 yards and a touchdown in the loss to the Indianapolis Colts. With Darren Waller out for at least another three games dealing with a hamstring injury, Moreau has a TE1 outlook and is close to a must-start option in an offense that loves to feature tight ends. He will operate as at least the No. 3 target since Hunter Renfrow is also on injured reserve, so fire him up again next week against the tough Denver Broncos secondary.--Jackson Sparks - RotoBaller

3 months agoIn a season where injuries have decimated the New Orleans Saints offense, tight end Foster Moreau finds himself as the team's unlikely leader in receiving touchdowns with five. Moreau has found the end zone twice in the last three weeks, most recently in Week 17 on an impressive 30-yard heave from rookie quarterback Spencer Rattler. Rattler will be under center again on Sunday and could lean on Moreau again to pick up the slack left by a depleted offense. Chris Olave (concussion) practiced in full all week but is listed as questionable for the season finale against Tampa Bay, as is fellow tight end Juwan Johnson (knee). Moreau had two catches for 54 yards when the Saints last faced the Buccaneers back in Week 6. Moreau should be good for a chunk gain or two against a Tampa defense that has allowed the fourth-most receiving yards to opposing tight ends this season and could push his way into the TE2 conversation with another touchdown.--Dan Stephens - RotoBaller

3 months agoNew Orleans Saints tight end Foster Moreau caught three of his five targets for 47 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 25-10 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders. Rookie quarterback Spencer Rattler hit Moreau in the end zone from 30 yards out to cap off a trick play that involved running back Kendre Miller at the start of the second quarter. Moreau finished with the second-most targets on the team behind fellow tight end Juwan Johnson's 10. Perhaps the most surprising thing about the surge in volume is that it hadn't been tried before given the fact that New Orleans has been missing multiple playmakers due to injury for most of the season. Receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling (back) was the latest wide receiver to suffer an injury, leaving in the fourth quarter after getting drilled while attempting a catch over the middle. It is too soon to tell his status for Week 18, but if he does miss the season finale, then Moreau might see more attention once again.--Dan Stephens - RotoBaller

3 months agoNew Orleans Saints tight end Foster Moreau tied for the team lead in receptions in Week 16. That he did so with all of two catches should say something about how the offense fared last week. Moreau also led the team outright in receiving yards with 33, giving him roughly one-third of quarterback Spencer Rattler's 153 passing yards in the 34-0 loss at the hands of the Green Bay Packers. With Derek Carr (hand) out for another week, Rattler will draw another start on Sunday against Moreau's former team, the Las Vegas Raiders. In Rattler's five starts this season, Moreau has averaged two catches for 32.8 yards on 2.4 targets per game, leaving little hope that the rookie will look to his tight end for anything more than an occasional chunk gain. While this may be a revenge game for Moreau, he is unlikely to make an impact in fantasy. Managers vying for a championship this weekend would be wise to look elsewhere if they are in need of a tight end.--Dan Stephens - RotoBaller

4 months agoNew Orleans Saints tight end Foster Moreau was the team's unlikely leader in receiving yards in their game against the Green Bay Packers on Monday night. If that isn't a strong enough indicator of how the Saints' offense fared, the fact that he needed just 33 yards to lead the team should make it a little more clear. Moreau caught two of his three passes for those 33 yards in a 35-0 loss in which New Orleans was held to less than 200 yards on offense. He also logged the Saints' longest play from scrimmage in the game when he caught a 21-yard pass from rookie quarterback Spencer Rattler in the second quarter. Primarily used as a blocker, Moreau now has a line of 25-335-4 for the season. In Week 17, Moreau can be ignored for fantasy purposes, even in a supposed "revenge game" against his former team, the Las Vegas Raiders.--Dan Stephens - RotoBaller
