Fernando Tatis Jr. Sitting On Wednesday
5 days agoSan Diego Padres outfielder Fernando Tatis Jr. (shoulder) is not in the starting nine when the Padres conclude a three-game set against the Athletics. Tatis was lifted from Tuesday's contest due to discomfort in his left shoulder. This is the same shoulder he underwent surgery on during the 2022 campaign as well. Fantasy managers should keep an eye on his status leading up to their next contest on Friday evening against the Colorado Rockies. On Wednesday, Oscar Gonzalez will get the starting nod in right field and bat in the five-hole. Gonzalez would likely see most of the opportunities in the right field if Tatis misses an extended period of time. Through the first 12 games of the campaign, Tatis has enjoyed a strong start, holding a .364/.442/.523 slash line with two home runs. Gonzalez is not worth targeting in DFS, facing Osvaldo Bido, who enters this contest with a 2.70 ERA.
