Fernando Tatis Jr.'s Leg Injury Likely Not Serious
6 years agoSan Diego Padres shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr. (hamstring) may have dodged a serious leg injury after leaving Sunday’s game against the Washington Nationals. Tatis did the splits reaching for a throw and was down in a heap before limping off the field. San Diego Union Tribune beat writer Kevin Acee indicated Tatis did not suffer a hamstring tear and will likely be considered day-to-day. While an IL stint isn’t ruled out, Tatis’ injury seems to be a best-case scenario. The dynamic 20-year-old rookie has lived up to the hype, slashing .300/.360/.550 with six homers, six steals and 27 runs-plus-RBI. Padres fans and fantasy owners can breathe a sigh of relief.
