6 days agoSan Diego Padres outfielder Fernando Tatis Jr. (triceps) will sit for the second consecutive game as the Padres look to complete a four-game sweep against the Milwaukee Brewers on Sunday, June 23. Tatis left Friday's game early after getting hit by a pitch and also sat out Saturday's contest. As a result, David Peralta will play in right field on Sunday and bat in the seven-hole. Tatis has had an excellent start to the campaign with a .279/.354/.468 slash line, 14 long balls, and eight swiped bags. He holds a 53.8% hard-hit rate and 13.9% barrel rate, which place him in the top 96th and 91st percentile among all qualified hitters. Peralta has played 24 games this season in San Diego and has posted a poor .220/.328/.260 line with zero home runs.
