Fernando Tatis Jr. Records Two Knocks But Defensive Struggles Persist
3 years agoSan Diego Padres shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr. went 2-for-3 with two walks, two RBI and two runs scored Thursday against the Milwaukee Brewers. The strong offensive performance was welcomed after Tatis had gone 1-for-9 with five strikeouts through the series' first three contests. Unrelated to fantasy, the 22-year-old's struggles on defense continued with his 13th and 14th errors in one play, botching a grounder then compounding the mistake with an errant throw. Fortunately, the miscues haven't impacted his bat and he's slashing .303/.380/.689 through 142 plate appearances with 13 homers, 11 steals and 63 runs-plus-RBI.
