Fernando Tatis Jr. Makes His Playoff Debut On Wednesday
4 years agoSan Diego Padres shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr. is batting leadoff against the Cardinals on Wednesday in Game 1 of the Padres-Cardinals wild-card series. Tatis will be making his major league baseball postseason debut against his father's former team and left-hander Kwang Hyun Kim. Tatis had a breakout 2020 in which he hit .277/.366/.571 with 17 home runs and 45 RBI in 224 at-bats. Tatis struggled in September toward the end of the season but he managed to get his bat going in his final three regular-season games, hitting two homers and driving in three in eight at-bats. Hopefully for Tatis, the Padres, and DFS managers who roster him, Tatis' strong finish over his final few games will carry over into the postseason.
