Fernando Tatis Jr. Dealing With Shoulder Injury
6 days agoSan Diego Padres outfielder Fernando Tatis Jr. (shoulder) left Tuesday's 10-4 loss to the Athletics early with left-shoulder discomfort, according to manager Mike Shildt. The skipper also said that Tatis is "checking out medically." "We erred on the side of caution and we'll evaluate. Everything seems to be intact and good shape and strength good, and he's not overly concerned." The 26-year-old superstar appeared to injure his shoulder on a swing in his second at-bat of the game, but he stayed in for a while longer before eventually being pulled. While the injury doesn't seem to be a big concern right now, fantasy managers will remember that Tatis has had issues with his left shoulder in the past, even requiring surgery. At the very least, expect him to be out through Thursday's off day, but he could also miss time going into a weekend home series against the division-rival Colorado Rockies.
