Fernando Rodney Roughed Up In Steel City
6 years agoOakland Athletics relief pitcher Fernando Rodney coughed up four earned runs, three hits and a walk while retiring just one batter in a blown save and relief loss against the Pittsburgh Pirates on Sunday. Rodney was staked to a 3-1 lead in the top of the 13th inning, but he couldn't hold the lead. The big blow was a three-run home run by Starling Marte, who walked it off and sent the fans home happy. Rodney is 0-2 with an 8.78 ERA and 1.95 WHIP on the season. As such, the 42-year-old veteran right-hander isn't a recommended fantasy option in most formats right now.
