6 years agoMinnesota Twins closer Fernando Rodney sealed the deal Monday against the Kansas City Royals. Rodney came into the game in the ninth inning and secured the Twins 3-1 victory along with earning his 20th save of the season. This comes after he got his 19th save on July 7 against the Baltimore Orioles, and he has now been successful in three straight save opportunities. Not to be forgotten, this streak comes after he blew two straight saves; Fernando Rodney in a nutshell. The chances of him blowing a save relatively soon are high if we’re going by his history, but he should be kept in lineups as a cheap closing option riding a save-streak going forward.--Mauricio Castillo
