Fernando Rodney Gives Up A Run In Loss On Wednesday
6 years agoMinnesota Twins closer Fernando Rodney allowed the final run on Wednesday against the Cleveland Indians that would go on to be enough for a Twins loss. After the Twins offense was completely shut down by Indians starter Carlos Carrasco, Rodney came into the game in the ninth inning to try and keep the score at 1-0. Instead, a few singles and an error later, the game was 2-0. Rodney has now allowed eight hits in his last six appearances. Rumored to be a trade chip, it appears he will now stay with the Twins for the remainder of the season. Rodney is a low-end closer, but he gets a lot of use with the Twins.
