Felix Bautista Earns Five-Out Save Monday
1 year agoBaltimore Orioles closer Felix Bautista earned his 29th save of the season in Monday's 4-2 win over the Blue Jays. Bautista entered the game up by two in the eighth inning with one out and runners on first and second. He immediately got a strikeout and a flyout to end the inning and stayed on for the ninth. Bautista allowed a leadoff walk in the ninth, got the first out on a strikeout, allowed another walk, got the second out on a great outfield catch, and ended the game with a third strikeout. The 28-year-old has been fantastic this season, converting all but five save opportunities with a 0.87 ERA and 17.59 K/9 rate. His immense strikeout skills and ability to limit runs have made him one of fantasy's best closers this season.
