Falcons Want To Trade Up For Cornerback
5 years agoAtlanta Falcons general manager Thomas Dimitroff wants to trade up for one of the top two cornerbacks in this year's draft. It's the worst-kept secret in draft rooms around the league this year. Florida's C.J. Henderson and Ohio State's Jeff Okudah are the top two corners this year, and the Falcons may just move up in the first round to take one of them, despite head coach Dan Quinn saying that he thinks Kendall Sheffield can be a No. 1 cornerback for the team. Atlanta's secondary allowed 66 percent completions, 28 touchdowns and 7.7 yards per pass play in 2019, so upgrading the secondary is one of the biggest priorities.
