Falcons Release Damien Williams
2 years agoThe Atlanta Falcons released veteran running back Damien Williams (ribs) on Monday, according to a source. Williams is said to be "100 percent healthy and well-rested." Williams had been on Injured Reserve with the Falcons and hasn't played since the season opener. The 30-year-old is still hoping to play this year, but it remains to be seen if another organization will take a chance on him with four games remaining in the regular season. In 12 games (two starts) for the Chicago Bears in 2021, Williams had 40 carries for 164 yards and two touchdowns, adding 16 receptions on 23 targets for 103 yards and one touchdown in the passing game. Williams should remain on the waiver wire in all single-year fantasy leagues.
