Falcons Extremely Confident In Matt Ryan
4 years agoAtlanta Falcons quarterbacks coach Charles London has been a staunch supporter of quarterback Matt Ryan since he joined the team. "We studied every drop-back pass, every play-action pass, everything that Matt did this past year," said London. "We thought as a staff that he was still performing at a high level. He could still do everything that was needed to do to run this offense. I look forward to working with him. He has a very unique skill-set." The Falcons committed to the 36-year-old when they restructured his deal and then didn't select a QB in the draft. On top of that, they gave him a new tight end with the fourth overall pick in Kyle Pitts. Ryan will need better protection up front from the offensive line, but he has all the weapons to be a very strong QB1 again in 2021.
