Falcons Defense Struggles Despite The Matchup
2 years agoThe Atlanta Falcons defense struggled in the team's 30-17 Week 18 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. While Tom Brady and the starters played most of the first half, Blaine Gabbert and Kyle Trask combined for 17 pass attempts in the contest. Despite facing two backup quarterbacks, the Falcons didn't have an interception. Furthermore, they didn't record a sack against the Buccaneers, making it the seventh time this season that Atlanta failed to sack the opposing quarterback. Four of those seven games have come over the Falcons' past six contests. The team needs to make several changes in the offseason for the Falcons defense to become fantasy-relevant next year.
