2 years agoThe Atlanta Falcons defense has struggled recently. Over the past three weeks, they have only three sacks and three forced turnovers. Furthermore, the Falcons have surrendered at least 20 points in all but one game this season, giving up 30 or more twice, including a season-high 35 points to the Cincinnati Bengals last week. While the matchup this week against the Carolina Panthers is much better, fantasy players shouldn't consider the Atlanta defense a must-start option. Last week the Tampa Bay Buccaneers had only one sack and zero turnovers against the Panthers. They also gave up 21 points to Carolina in their first game with Christian McCaffrey. However, fantasy players who don't have an elite unit or missed out on the better streaming options should consider the Falcons defense for Week 8.--Mike Fanelli
