Falcons Cut Caleb Huntley, D'Onta Foreman
3 years agoAtlanta Falcons running backs Caleb Huntley and D'Onta Foreman did not make the team's 53-man roster. Both Huntley and Foreman were competing for depth spots behind starter Mike Davis, though the Falcons chose to go with Cordarrelle Patterson and Qadree Ollison to fill out the roster. The likely scenario is that Davis, who handled 17.4 touches per game as a starter for Carolina in 2020, operates as something close to a bell-cow back, with Patterson subbing in for some passing downs and Ollison taking on some early-down and goal-line work. Davis looks more and more like a volume-based RB2, with Ollison as more of a late-round dart throw with upside.
