Ezekiel Elliott Unlikely To Have Fantasy Appeal In Week 5
1 year agoNew England Patriots running back Ezekiel Elliott is not a reliable fantasy football option heading into Week 5 versus the New Orleans Saints. For the most part, he has struggled to get things going on the ground this season. That includes last Sunday when Elliott, who was supposed to see a larger workload, mustered just six rushes for 16 yards against his old team, the Cowboys. He has yet to score a touchdown this season and continues to operate behind Rhamondre Stevenson (thigh). Elliott cannot be trusted in fantasy football leagues as long as he remains the clear No. 2 option in the Patriots' offense. With that said, Stevenson is listed as questionable for Week 5. He has a decent chance to play after being limited in practice all week long, but in the event that he can't suit up, Elliott would warrant fantasy consideration. For the time being, though, he belongs on your bench.
