Ezekiel Elliott Should Be the Cowboys Offense Again in Week 4
6 years agoDallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott should play the role of the entire Dallas offense again in Week 4. Elliott has 98.3 percent of the Cowboys backfield touches, easily the highest rate in the NFL. He has been quite effective on the ground and gets a good matchup against a Lions defense that has allowed the most yards per carry to opposing running backs this season. He's been somewhat less dynamite in the passing game, drawing 20.9 percent of quarterback Dak Prescott's targets but gaining just 7.4 percent of the team's passing yards. That makes for the largest gap among running backs, but it's still encouraging to see him draw a solid number of targets. This week and every week, Elliott is a locked-in RB1.
