Ezekiel Elliott Has A Quiet Week 8
3 years agoDallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott had a mostly quiet Week 8 in a win over the Minnesota Vikings. "Zeke" ran the ball 16 times for 50 yards and caught four passes on six targets for another 23 yards. With the Vikings defense forcing backup quarterback Cooper Rush throwing the ball 40 times in a close game, Elliott never had a chance to get going on the ground. One of his catches was a huge play in the final drive that set up the game-winning touchdown though, so even in a mostly ineffective game, Elliott was still a key piece of the offense. He should see more running room in Week 9 with the expected return of Dak Prescott (calf) under center.
