Ezekiel Elliott Gets Off To A Slow Start In Week 1
3 years agoDallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott got off to a slow start in a Week 1 loss to the Tampa Bay Bucs. Facing a tough run defense (second best against opposing running backs last season), Elliott ran the ball 11 times, gaining just 33 scoreless yards. He also made two catches on two targets, picking up six more yards. Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott attempted 58 passes in this game, a number he probably won't reach every week. The running game should end up being a bigger part of the game plan going forward, but this wasn't a great start to the season for a guy who is looking for a bounce back season.
