Expect A Healthy Workload For Golden Tate Against Jets
6 years agoDetroit Lions wide receiver Golden Tate has averaged 90 receptions in each of the last four seasons since joining the team. He has built a serious connection with quarterback Matthew Stafford, and that should continue in the Lions season opener against the New York Jets. While the Jets return Morris Claiborne and added Trumaine Johnson at cornerback this offseason, they will be defending the outside receivers. Tate is expected to assume more of a slot receiver role, with Marvin Jones and Kenny Golladay on the outside. Tate has a floor of a WR3, and with a score, he could be a high-end WR2.
