Executives Believe Karl-Anthony Towns Could Be Traded
Karl-Anthony Towns has been the face of the team for the last eight seasons since he was drafted No. 1 overall in the 2015 NBA draft. In that time, the Timberwolves have only made the playoffs three times and have never gotten out of the first round. After making a huge deal to bring in Rudy Gobert and with new contracts looming for Anthony Edwards and Jaden McDaniels, Eric Pincus of Bleacher Report reports that opposing executives believe that Towns could be traded. It could even happen within the next few weeks, so that the team can avoid the salary cap restrictions entailed in the new collective bargaining agreement.

Karl-Anthony Towns Turns It Around In Game 2
Karl-Anthony Towns had a double-double in the win over the Celtics on Wednesday evening. After getting in foul trouble in Game 1 and finishing with only 14 points, KAT had 21 points in Game 2, adding 17 rebounds and one block. While Towns has been streaky throughout the postseason, he averaged 21.5 points and 11.5 rebounds in two meetings with the Celtics during the regular season, so it appears he has an excellent chance to keep things going on the scoring end in Game 3 on Saturday afternoon.
