6 years agoDetroit Red Wings prospect Evgeny Svechnikov will miss the next five to six months recovering from knee surgery. Svechnikov suffered the injury in the Red Wings final preseason game. He was on the roster bubble but likely would have started the season in the AHL. Regardless, it is a tough blow for the former 19th-overall pick. In terms of fantasy relevance, this increases the chances that Filip Zadina will see the NHL at some point this season as Svechnikov would have been ahead of him on the depth chart.--Raymond Harrison - RotoBaller
