Evgeny Svechnikov Gets Called Up
7 years agoDetroit Red Wings right wing Evgeny Svechnikov will get his first taste of NHL action this year after getting called up to replace the injured Frans Nielsen. He played in two games at the NHL level last year, scoring zero points, but he has been productive in the AHL, scoring 73 points in 126 games over the last two years. Detroit plays in one of the four games on Friday, so with options being limited, Svechnikov is a cheap option to keep an eye on.
