Evgenii Dadonov Lands In Vegas
3 years agoIn a surprising move, the Vegas Golden Knights traded for struggling winger Evgenii Dadonov. In return, Nick Holden was flipped to the Ottawa Senators. The Russian comes with a $5 million cap hit over the next seasons for a team that is struggling with cap issues. The club is taking a big risk in hoping that playing with more skilled players will help the 32-year-old rediscover his previous success scoring goals and succeeding on the power play. Last season, Dadonov had just one point on the power play and scored just 13 goals overall in 55 games. In the three years prior to that, he averaged 15 power-play points per year and scored 25 or more goals each season. Unless another trade is coming, Dadonov could see PP1 time, which could make him a fantasy sleeper.
