San Jose Sharks left winger Evander Kane will not be on the ice for Game 2 against the Vegas Golden Knights on Saturday, as he was suspended one game for cross-checking Pierre-Edouard Bellemare in the head after the whistle. The NHL said, "Players frequently use their sticks to establish positioning or attempt to move an opponent away from the net. This was not such a play. This cross-check occurred well after the whistle was blown and serves no purpose other than as a strike to an opponent's head. This is not a hockey play." This is a huge blow to the Sharks, as they will be without one of their best forwards.--Anthony Vattimo
