Evan Rodrigues Fills Top-Six Role In Season Opener
3 years agoPittsburgh Penguins forward Evan Rodrigues will start the season as the second-line center due to injuries to Sidney Crosby (wrist) and Evgeni Malkin (knee). He's joined on the line by Jason Zucker and Kasperi Kapanen for the season opener on Tuesday against Tampa. Jeff Carter will center the top line, which also features Danton Heinen and Bryan Rust. Rodrigues has only been a depth forward throughout his NHL career so it's a big opportunity for him, and he'll certainly be an intriguing option for DFS managers. The Penguins lineup is also set to include veteran center Brian Boyle, who signed a one-year deal on Tuesday after impressing during training camp.
