8 months agoLos Angeles Dodgers closer Evan Phillips was summoned for the final four outs of Tuesday's victory versus the San Francisco Giants. During his 1 1/3 innings, Phillips allowed one hit and struck out a pair with no walks or runs. The 29-year-old has now appeared in four games and recorded three saves without allowing a run. Not only is Phillips one of the best closers in the game, it helps that he is on one of the best teams in the league and that should allow him to have plenty of save opportunities moving forward.
