Evan Phillips Secures Fifth Save Sunday
2 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers relief pitcher Evan Phillips picked up his fifth save of the season on Sunday, holding down a 5-2 lead to secure a win over the San Diego Padres. Phillips made quick work of the Padres in the tenth inning, setting them down in order while stranding the ghost runner on third. Phillips now has the Dodgers' last three saves and got both save chances this weekend as he appears to be the primary option out of their bullpen. He now has a 2.25 ERA and 0.92 WHIP with 16 strikeouts over 12 IP. He's a must-roster closer in any league where saves are valued.
