Evan Phillips Earns One-Out Save Tuesday
1 year agoLos Angeles Dodgers relief pitcher Evan Phillips earned his 11th save of the season in Tuesday's 5-0 win over the Rockies. Phillips entered the game in the bottom of the ninth up by five with two outs and the bases loaded. He made sure things stayed that way, inducing a fly-out to end the game. The Dodgers have used a number of relievers in save situations this season but Phillips has remained the main option, converting all but one of his save opportunities with a 1.97 ERA and a 10.41 K/9 rate. He is currently a must-roster in all roto leagues and is also worth a roster spot in all but shallow points leagues at this time.
