Evan Longoria Could Miss Up To A Month
5 years agoSan Francisco Giants third baseman Evan Longoria (foot) is guessing he'll be out for two weeks to a month, but it isn't set in stone because the team foot specialist hasn't looked at his MRI exam. Longo thinks he strained his foot while overcompensating while dealing with plantar fasciitis. Either way, the veteran infielder will be out longer than the 10 days on the injured list and isn't worth keeping around in deeper mixed leagues if you have other needs. The 33-year-old has hit an underwhelming .241/.318/.446 with 13 homers, 38 runs and 39 RBI in his second year in San Fran. Pablo Sandoval will see the majority of playing time at third in his absence and is worth a roster spot in deep mixed and NL-only leagues with the way he's swung the bat in 2019.
