Evan Engram Will Play In Week 14
6 years agoNew York Giants tight end Evan Engram (hamstring) will return to action in Week 14 against the Redskins after missing the last two games. He was a full participant in practice on Thursday and Friday and was taken off the final injury report. "Yeah, I'm ready to ride," Engram said. "Had a good week." Engram will play the passing-down option against Washington, and his playing time was already decreasing prior to his injury two weeks ago. He had played just 47 percent of the snaps in the two games after the bye week. Rhett Ellison and Scott Simonson have played bigger roles in recent weeks because of their blocking ability, and that's expected to continue. That makes Engram a low-ceiling TE2 with quarterback Eli Manning still under center. Engram has been slowed by injuries this year and has just 23 catches for 257 yards and two touchdowns after going for 64 catches, 722 yards and six scores in his rookie season.
