Evan Engram Has A Chance To Play On Thursday
3 years agoNew York Giants tight end Evan Engram (calf) was sidelined for the team's Week 1 matchup against the Denver Broncos due to a calf injury he suffered in the preseason. He has remained sidelined at practice to start the week. However, he hasn't been ruled out for the team's next game against the Washington Football Team on Thursday quite yet. On Tuesday, Giants coach Joe Judge spoke with reporters. When asked if there was a chance that Engram could play on Thursday, Judge said, "Hope so… he's making a lot of jumps in terms of how he's working." Judge's quote is encouraging overall and he certainly makes it sound as if Engram is moving in the right direction, but it still doesn't seem likely that Engram will be ready to return to the field, let alone provide much of an impact, by Thursday. Fantasy managers should seek other options at tight end this week.
