Edmonton Oilers defenseman Evan Bouchard had three assists in Monday's high-scoring 6-5 loss to the Los Angeles Kings. Last year, Bouchard set an NHL record for the most assists by a defenseman in one postseason with 26 and once again played a massive role in Edmonton's offense, setting up Leon Draisaitl, Corey Perry, and Connor McDavid. The regular-season series against the Kings finished scoreless for Bouchard this term, but he had a very productive time in the same first-round matchup a year ago, contributing one goal and eight assists in five games.

Edmonton Oilers defenseman Evan Bouchard tallied two points during their 4-2 victory over the San Jose Sharks on Friday evening. Bouchard did all of his damage in the opening frame. He first found the back of the net on the power play with a slap shot. Later in the period, Bouchard tacked on the secondary assist on Ty Emberson's first goal of the season. He logged five shots on goal during this game and added one blocked shot. This two-point performance extended his current point streak to three games. Over his previous nine contests, the 25-year-old has tallied 11 points, with four of them coming on the power play. Through 79 games this season, Bouchard has scored 14 goals and tallied 52 helpers. He remains a strong option in DFS given his role on the Edmonton power play.

Edmonton Oilers defenseman Evan Bouchard (lower body) is considered a game-time call for Saturday's meeting with Vegas. He suffered a lower-body injury near the end of Thursday's battle against Minnesota and didn't hit the ice for practice on Friday. Bouchard finished Thursday's 7-1 win with two assists to jump to 22 points (six goals, 16 assists) for the season. In 29 games, he's fired off 70 shots and boasts 46 blocks, which ranks Bouchard second on the team. Alec Regula, who was waived by Boston earlier in the week, is expected to take Bouchard's spot in the lineup if he isn't available for Saturday's game. Darnell Nurse figures to be Bouchard's replacement on the first power-play unit.

Edmonton Oilers defenseman Evan Bouchard tallied two assists (both on the power play) during Friday's victory over the Utah Hockey Club. Bouchard's first point came on the secondary assist of Leon Draisaitl's 17th goal of the season. Later in the game, Bouchard earned the primary assist on Connor McDavid's 12th strike of the season. In this game, Bouchard also tallied two shots on goal, one block and a minus-three rating. After a three-game scoreless drought, Bouchard has gone on to tally seven points over his previous four contests. Overall, the 25-year-old has tallied 17 points (six goals, 11 assists) through 23 games. Fantasy managers should continue to view Bouchard as an elite scoring defenseman given his role in the top Edmonton power play.
