Eury Perez Could Make 10 More Starts
1 year agoMiami Marlins rookie right-hander Eury Perez could make up to around 10 more starts in his first season in the big leagues. Perez has already been sent to the minors so that Miami could monitor the 20-year-old's workload, but they will continue to carefully monitor his workload for the rest of the 2023 season. He has already thrown more innings in 2023 than he did in both of the last two years combined, so it makes sense why the Fish want to protect their prized arm. Perez will make his return to the starting rotation on Monday against the Cincinnati Reds, and as long as he remains active for the Marlins, he needs to remain rostered in all fantasy leagues. He's been great so far with a 2.36 ERA (3.70 FIP), 1.09 WHIP, 17 walks and 61 strikeouts in 53 1/3 innings (11 starts).
