Estevan Florial To Be In Cast For Weeks
6 years agoA follow-up MRI exam and visit to a hand specialist on Monday resulted in New York Yankees outfield prospect Estevan Florial (wrist) being put in a cast for "a few weeks," according to manager Aaron Boone. The MRI also revealed a second break to a separate bone in Florial's right hand. Both bones are expected to heal, but Florial will miss significant time. The team's top prospect and No. 57 per MLB Pipeline had been impressing in camp, so this is a really tough break for the youngster. He's a name to keep in mind in dynasty leagues, but it'll be tough for him to make an impact in 2019 now.
