Estevan Florial Recalled From Triple-A
3 years agoNew York Yankees outfielder Estevan Florial was recalled from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Tuesday. Florial is heading back to the big leagues with Trey Amburgey (hamstring) hitting the injured list. The former appeared in one game for New York this season but has spent much of his time between Double and Triple-A, posting a .756 OPS with 12 homers, 31 RBI, 39 runs scored, and nine stolen bases. Capable of playing all three outfield spots, Florial's raw power and speed should allow him to see some immediate playing time in the Yankees' injury-riddled outfield- though his career 28 percent strikeout rate could lead to some growing pains.
